It is extremely sensitive. The slightest up an down motion of the waters surface will trigger the alarm. If its too windy you can remove the alarms temporarily at your own risk

All we can say is that you will have to test it. It depends on the size of the dog and how it falls into the water. We would say it is still a net positive to have an alarm than not to have one

It depends where you place the alarm and which creepy you have. Try to place the alarm where you know the pipes does not reach. Keep in mind the distance the wave has to travel in an emergency before the alarm goes off. If it's time to replace the creepy, we recommend a creepy that does not shake the pipe, Have a look at the ZODIAC MX6

80m in a straight line of sight. From previous test test we've done it would pick up to the otherside of a small house. We do however recommend to not put it that far away from the alarm inside the house.
